Some updates:
Start at http://www.phillyscca.com/courserally/index.html. Please note new start time for registration. The gates should be open at 7 AM. This will also be the page you should check for rainout information.
There is no camping on-site, but there are campgrounds nearby. Here is one I found on Google. http://www.lazykcamping.com/
Here is a gallery from our last event at Grandview Speedway.

Here is a video (Dial-up warning, it is 110 Mb) of the last event at Grandview as well. It provides graphic evidence of why we need to cancel if it rains. The track gets incredibly slick when wet.

i have a 'rally beater' gl-10 wagon that i would love to rallyx, but right now i dont think the car would be able to take the beating. and i have no means of getting the car there except for driving it there.... not a problem in itself, but it would get ugly if i broke stuff.

The weather is not looking promising. There is a prediction for 2-4 inches of rain overnight. I'm going to inspect the track at noon on Saturday. If we can't hold the event, I will post that info here when I get home as well as put a message on our website. So look for the cancellation notice around 1 PM on Saturday. http://www.phillyscca.com/courserally/index.html If you know of people who are coming who won't have access to the web tomorrow, please keep them informed. I don't want people to drive a long distance and be disappointed.
If you want to understand why we need to cancel if there is significant rain, check out this video from the last event. http://ntrfilms.com/shorts/pa_rallyx.wmv About three minutes in, you see the result of two passes with the watering truck. Sorry you dial-up folks, this is a 100Mb movie.
Other info should the event go off:
It doesn't look like there will be a food vendor on site. You can bring food or there is a Subway and a couple of pizza joints near the track.
If you haven't sent me a pre-registration form, just print it out from the website, http://www.phillyscca.com/courserall...wEntryForm.xls fill it in and bring it with you. Pre-registration is not required. It looks like about 14 people have pre-registered, so I expect a good turnout.
Just a reminder that for every driver there must be a worker. You, or your substitute, will work the off-heat from your runs.

Canceled
The track owner just called and said the front straight is under water. No amount of sun and wind will dry it by tomorrow, so we have to cancel. Thanks for your interest and enthusiasm.
Would anyone be interested in a late fall event at Grandview? Please reply with your interest here and we will see if we can pull something together.
