New Sac Area Thursday Night Meets At 7pm!
 

Hey guys and gals, we are starting a new thread for the local Thurs night meets. Ryan requested that I start a new thread for the meets and take over "running and organizing" the meet locations. He just bought a house (congrats again ryan!) and will have very little free time to update threads.

Keeping them on Thurs nights at 7pm. The meet locations will change every week just as they did before. Might try some new spots and possibly branch out, feel free to suggest something.[center]

Ive been working a temp job for the last month and I havnt even been able to make the meets till 830ish haha.

Sorry I have not been out lately don't want to drive the Sti I put coilovers on in and a nob on the bottom ruptured my cv boot =\ lame and work till 8 most Thursdays now I'll try to come out again soon

In the past we've had near 30+ cars, other times only a few made it out there. Every week is different.

hey im kind of new, but i think you guys should get it switched to friday nights,
i dont know if you guys know but every friday there is a big jdm getogether at LOWES on Greenback and Sunrise across from the Sunrise Mall,
I think next meet should be on friday at LOWES?

They Usually get together at like 9-11:30
But i think like 10-10:30 would be perfect,

It would be sick if you got together say, hooters in natomas at like 8 and then just ALL SUBIES cruise down to Lowes at like 9:30?
Just an idea?

We stick to Thurs night for multiple reasons, including the fact that there are other meets on other nights.

Yes I know (along with other members) there are meets at the location on Friday nights. And I would not call it a "big jdm get together" either. Trucks on air bags, cars riding around with underglow, blasting their "dope ass systems" and such, does not really go over too well with a lot of members.

And most people that still go there, attract the wrong kind of attention and there are usually cops that show up and break things up.

ye just thought id bring it up,

because last friday, it came out to be a good meet, not much "trucks" lol, only saw one cop and we rolled out with like 20-30 ppl to just cruise and what not

i went there ones like a mth ago with my bf to meet one of his friends... i was the only Subaru there... it was lame and im never going there again unless there is more then 10 Subarus there.

Was thinking about On The Border (mexi-american food) thats in the same parking lot as Hooters.

That's gonna be 1 huge table. Why don't you guys hit up the In N Out right there? Some place with a lot of open seating and what not. Or you guys could even do Chipotle/Chilis on the other side.

My vote is wing stop, its across the intersection from walmart in the same parking lot as barns N nobles/target.

All I know is that when Buffalo Wild Wings opens up there will def. need to be one there...

yea they can put tables together. Last time I went, we had i think about 7 or 8 ppl.

Any of those places are cool. All generally in the same area, too. Just that area alone, we can hop around to all the restaurant each week.

I don't think I've tried On the Border. We could certainly do that, or In N' Out, or whatever.

Well im pretty sure im not gunna make it this week :( helping train a new guy, so ive been there longer than normal.

tonight was cool, we had 14 cars show up, food was alright, overall good meet.

Yup! Great meet tonight! Any ideas for next week? I would suggest Hooters again, but I am still trying to get over those tater tots. Maybe one of the other local eateries in the area?

im thinking we should hit up something asain, like sushi or chinese food.

I like the Asian idea. Maybe a Mongolian bbq or something like that. I'll think about what's around and maybe chime in again with some good ideas.

Hell yeah, so many nice Subies tonight. Asian food sounds great next week....what about Tokyo Buffet off Greenback and San Juan in Citrus Heights? They have great food and plenty of parking space.

Yeah. Beach Hut Deli is a little pricey. But there is other things in the area for those who don't want that. Those $10 sandwiches are good for two meals though!

I know a guy that owns a sandwich shop with about 10-20 beers on tap mainly Belgian beers that we could hit up one day. Its in midtown Sac, and the only thing that would suck is parking...

I will try to get my friend to send me the pics he took and I will post it up from last week. It was getting dark and it was with a camera phone so who knows how it turned out.
