i'm in their 18week training program so for two weeks it's all classroom sessions, not bedside yet. no complaints though. im getting paid going to class, just sitting down and texting ppl and going on facebook lol jk. i do participate ALOT.

oh and i just realized, after the classroom sessions ill be working mostly graveyard shifts $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ jhahahahhah
my car is gna love me so much LOL

Just got my schedule for next semester...

Maternity - Kaiser Oakland
Peds - Children's Hospital Oakland

Boo east bay.......... So much $$$$ on toll.

it's extra pay on weekends though, but i'd rather have saturday nights off anyway

i heard CHO is not that great.......can u try to pic a different children's hospital? try to get into lucile packard lol
all i hear from CHO are horror stories lol iono if it'ss true or not though

Our school has very limited Peds/Maternity locations.

The only other Peds locations are K-SF and K-OAK.... If I wanted a different location I would have to find someone willing to switch with me and no one wants gives up an SF location...

I just feel bad for the students who have Sutter Santa Rosa for their Maternity... haha

Yea haha. Had my first day at the VA in SF today... such a huge difference between computer charting vs. manual charting hahaha. Now I actually know my pt's meds and dx etc!!

OMG LOL you never knew how to look those up manually in the pt charts? damn
jkjkjk
but seriously lol i like manual charting coz the computer is always laggy. if it wasnt then i'd prefer comp charting lol
anyway i have no choice coz i have to chart in the computer now in my dept using their laggy comp system :twitch:
