Lets go for a drive
Hey everyone, I have been thinking about taking a nice ride up to Alice's restaurant. The drive up from DC takes about 15 minutes but its the mountain roads that take the longest to get to the actual retaurant. There are plenty of ways to get there and plenty of ways to get out of there. I have some links here with the general routes. One of my personal favorites is taking La Honda road from the coast to Alice's. So for those that want to go on a nice, enjoyable, laid-back, cruise please come. I think the best plan would be to meet at gellert and caravan there. I don't want to drive there when its pitch black so I want to leave gellert around late afternoon. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions. I DO want to put up some small guidelines so people dont show up expecting an Initial-D type race to the restaurant.
"GUIDELINES"
-DO NOT cross the double yellow
-DO NOT pass when in the mountain roads
-If your tires are showing cords please dont go. Even though we are going speed limit the decreasing radius turns in these parts will make you change your line. Specially of youre unfamiliar with the roads. We all know what happens when you make suddens changes during a turn.
-Give a safety buffer between you and the person in front of you.
-JUST CHILL, in these roads its easy to let adrenaline take over and make some hair raising maneuvers. Please don't risk being the person to ruin a relaxing drive for the group. I hope I dont sound like I'm being a jackass but I've been here weekend in weekend out on my bike and its crazy what can happen when people let the adrenaline drive. Enjoy the adrenaline but do the driving yourself. Its not just you on the road there are other lives in your hands...DUN DUN DUN.
So... let me know what you guys think. It's a really good place to eat. A lot of room. It makes for a nice break from the weekly meets..eh? COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS WELCOME....
I'm new to posting stuff so, sorry. I don't know how to embed pictures and all that fancy stuff. All you get is LINKS HAHAHAHA..

Yeah the food is ok. Its not to die for or anything but it isn't bad. Quick question, where does everyone usually go for their cobb tuning to get done? I'm thinking of getting the Tomei Poncam's to go with the Tomei setup. What do you guys think? Poncam's or Kelford or ???

Remember the saying... Don't knock it till you try it. I just want to go on a cruise with fellow enthusiast. Alice's just happens to be on the way. Well if Youre bored and want to kill sometime you have the option. I'm hoping a handful of people are willing to go. Although, I do understand that it is quite a drive.
