Redwood Rendezvous Road Rally Adventure Tour and Campout X

Hard to believe a whole decade has passed since I thought up this epic road trip which still only a small handful of people have experienced.
This could very well be the last one, so if you ever thought this was something you wanted to do, here might be your last opportunity.

Date: October 6-7

Start location: Washoe House parking lot, at corner of Roblar Rd and Stoney Pt Rd north of Petaluma (2840 Stony Point Road Petaluma, CA 94952)

Rendezvous time: 07:30 AM for group departure at 8:00.

So who wants to do it?

TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT ON THE STARTING GRID YOU MUST EITHER SEND ME A PRIVATE MESSAGE HERE OR E-MAIL ME (pete-at-northnevadarally.com) TO CONFIRM YOUR PARTICIPATION.

(ie: posting here that you "want to" or "might be interested" does not put your name on the list!)

So far I have recieved e-mail or PM or otherwise have confirmed participation by:

AndyC (check)
eastbaysubaru (check)
bushido (check)
queeg9k (check)
Gancherov (check)
BlackSheep (meeting us at 9)
RallyWagon (check)

The grid is locked down- 7 entries is I think the biggest we've had, it allowed me to drop one of the 4 TSD sections I had planned, so that we can get to the campground at least an hour before sunset!

Oh and anyone wanting "more information" is encouraged to look through the links on the "history of the redwood rendezvous thread" or contact other people who have participated in previous editions...

Oh and one more thing- renting all those checkpoint clocks last year cost me over $100 so I don't want to do that again- if you have either an android or i-phone/i-podtouch or i-pad, you should look into getting the Richta checkpoint clock app; https://sites.google.com/site/richtarally/

I would love to be a part of this. Been wanting to do it ever since I bought my car.

Because every one of the last 10 years I've suggested we could have as many as 10, but we never have had more than 5, and sometimes don't even get 5.

I think Bluegrass fans will be forced to decide between this and HSB, that first weekend in October is looking like it might be the date...

That and even if people post in the thread that they're interested, we always have folks backing out at the very last minute. Pete puts a lot of work into the orchestration of the TSD rally portion of the event and it's hard to create all of the associated documentation, let alone make last minute changes the morning of the event.

This is a fantastic event, and I truly hope we have a TON of people that want to go. Tell your friends to post here if they're truly interested. So far it's only queeg9k, gancherov and myself so there's still spots left

My bad. That makes four of us. Still one spot open and I'm sure we could twist Pete's arm to add additional spots if they're not flakes

I've done it on lowered suspension so you should be fine. You might have to take the dirt sections a bit slower that a non-lowered car, but they're all pretty drivable.

Pete, that first weekend in October looks good and it falls right between my anniversary and the wifey's B-Day. Yay!!!
