I will soon be aquiring this beauty from my parents. If i were going to buy one i would have gotten the 2.5gt but because Im getting this brand new car at a price i cant refuse, im wondering what it would take to turn this into a gt. Things im wondering about would be the turbo and maybe an STI wing for the back. This car is a limited version so it has a stock wing on it already but will an sti wing fit? I know i need a gt hood for the intercooler.

Any help/ suggestions on this would be great!

 

The motors are quite different, and so turboing it isn't quite as easy as it may sound. Your motor is more similar to a 2.5RS, which a lot of people have successfully turboed, then the 2.5GT motor.

If you are looking to do this project, you might want to look into what the 2.5RS turbo owners did to make their cars turbo.

Good luck on this. Also, don't you mean an 05 2.5i limited? the 2.5i Limited was discontinued for the 06 model.

 

thanks for your help! The car was presented has a 2006 subaru leacy 2.5i sedan w/ a limited edition package. I will look into the 2.5RS motor mods some more. Any tips for the rear wing?

 

dunno about the STi wing but I really want the one thats on the Gialla-Sportiva Legacy

I suggest that you 2 guys give Crawford/I-Speed a call and talk to Quirt or any of the guys there. They might be able to help you out a bit.
