It kinda reminds me of either
1.) Mazda 3
2.) Mini Tribeca
3.) Some peugeot or citroen.
I guess it is in the mold of current WRC designs. *shrug* I'll reserve judgement till I see mods and the Sti model.

Chrysler meets Daiwoo in a dark alley and makes a bastar* child. It looks like they put all their effort into copying every other company's generic designs.
I pray that the STI version has something more to offer in its design.
*Thanks for the great pictures and write up. Very informative.

its going to be really fun pwning Mazda3's with AWD when they are FWD.
Cant wait for the STi pics to officially come out and would like to see pics of the sedan.

Subaru knows there current owners most likely won't trade in, and are more than likely focusing their sales towards attracting buyes away from the "Generic Designs."
Can't blame Subaru for trying to make more money.

also, when the 06 came out it was horrible and fugly and the worst move the Subaru(according to some), but once a body kit came out and people were getting awesome numbers with just a turbo back and tune, more people started to fall in love with it. I think once there are some performance parts and body kits for the 08, it will be more appealing. Plus it is lighter and has a better suspension. If it doesnt work out, get an 07 or wait for 2010.

its f***ing ugly. they kinda messed up when the 06s came out but htis it redicules. it looks like a Mazda 3 mixed with a tribeca mixed with a corrola. its fugly. the playstion/game console inputs are pretty cool though.

it blends in with everything else on the road! (if youre on a road full of Si's, Camarys, and Mazda3 wagons). I love my bugeye because it sticks out like a sore thumb, but with each "rebirth" subaru seems to be making their cars blander and blander. Now whats going to make me buy a Subaru over something else? With more competitors coming into the ring, making your cars look more like everyone else, than anyone else, is NOT the way to keep/gain new customers
