Trunk emblem removal

Are there holes for the letters (Subaru) or are they just stuck on? I've seen a lot of cars with them removed, but I didn't want to start pulling them off to find out there are holes.

i pulled some of mine off and they leave a ghost mark where they were, just like an outline of the emblem. anything you can do to get rid of this? i have tried waxing it already.

Meguiars #9 swirl remover or any mild polish. You might even just try some toothpaste.

Yeah, any kind should work. Not too minty though Toothpaste is just a really fine polish after all.

What do you use to get the sticky stuff off? and also is the actual emblem attatched by holes? I would think so since it is bigger but if it wasnt that would be sick.

Emblem is attached on 06-07

02-05 you can take everything off

08+?

Be carefull with older cars. Since the paint is now up to 8 years old you will have the letters "Subaru" always written on the trunk.

I popped the S off last night using a heat gun, dental floss, goo-off and some #9 polish. There is still a little outline, but unless you are looking for it, it is hard to see. Will get pics once it is all done. Letter was easy to get off, but as I have run into before, it is the sticky crap that is hard to get off.
