STI Sideskirts on a 2004 WRX
I definitely need some guidance here.
I just purchased some STI sideskirts to put on my 2004 WRX and i can't get the old ones off! Its pissing me off immensely! I try using a flat head screw driver to pry those plugs off and they just won't come out. I inserted the flat head screw driver under the plug, then turned sideways and they still don't come out.
Then i tried to put the screwdriver under the plug and use the inner part of the sideskirt as leverage to try to pull the plug out and no matter how much oooommphhh I give into it, they're stuck.
Is there any other suggestions you guys could give me as I would hate to have to take my WRX to the dealer to have them install some sideskirts.
Thanks,
-Ryan

Seeing as to how you're a fellow Ryan, I'll try to help you by showing you this: http://subaruparts.com/install/Strake.pdf
Maybe you missed a screw somewhere?
If not, try greasing the frozen screw with WD40 if possible.

Unless they changed the connectors used for the 04, you remove the center section of each plug, then pull the whole plug out - trying to remove the whole plug without pulling the center section will not work - the middle part expands the outer part to hold the sideskirt in place (so when installed, it's bigger than the hole you are pulling it out from). Also - there is a plastic screw thingy on the leading edge of the sideskirts as well.
