Replacement Front Bumper

Hey guys,

I'm new to the Subaru scene. I just purchased a Silver 2007 WRX TR. I bought the car with a couple minor body defects and was wondering if anybody new of some good websites or local shops to buy some replacement parts. I live in the East Bay.

The front bumper probably needs to be replaced. I have searched the web for a while now and am unable to find a replacement bumper.

The car was also keyed along the entire driver side!!! When i bought the car i thought that was going to be a easy fix for a autobody shop. but i received a quote from MAACO and they quoted $1,200. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Garrett

Be careful with Maaco. They do not have quality product. They're rep is that paint will peel within a year. Unfortunately, good and cheap don't go together. You're going to end up paying a lot unless you don't care about the how long it lasts. I could check it out for you but if I have to paint the side of the car it ain't gonna be cheap but I can see what I can do for you on price and you would get OEM quality.

The bumper is only available from Subaru as an OEM part. You can buy one from a dealer who sells parts online, but you will probably be better off just going to a local dealer and getting it from the parts dept. The bumper is an oversize item, so shipping will be expensive and probably will negate any discounts the online vendor/dealers may offer.
Also note that the bumper is sold unpainted, so regardless of where you get it it will need to be painted. The only other option would be to find a used one in the correct color, either at a junkyard or from someone parting out their car.

PanAmerican in Fremont does good work. I got my body work done there and I'm VERY satisfied with the work they did. Very good quality and a lifetime insurance policy.
