Point me to Dash-lighting Instructions plz!
Ok, i have 10 red bulb condoms in my hand and want to do the dash also. Can someone point me into the right direction for instructions on this install.
I already have the instructions for the HVAC and Keyring lights so all i need is the Dashlighting instructions.
thanks, eric

Seriously, search on Nazioc. There is The Mother Of All Threads about this. And, it sounds like the biggest pain in the azz that ever was.
Yes, I am using superlatives... and i believe they apply.

I remember there being this thread that had how-to photos and everything.

wow. i did this a while ago. hopefully i can remember the details. so first you need to take off the shroud around the gauge cluseter. two screws at the top and then slide it out. then there are something like 4 screws or something like that holding the cluster in. take those out. then there are a couple of harnesses connecting the cluster to power and stuff that you have to undo. unplug those. (your trip mileage will reset, but odometer won't change) then on the back of the cluster you should be able to see these holes that give you access to the bulbs. if i recall, you will need both larger and smaller bulb condoms. it's actually pretty straight forward once you get the cluster out. not that tough though.
they look completely stock during the daytime with the lights off. slightly pinkish with the lights on during the daytime. the pics actually make them look a lot brighter since the iris of the camera is wide open. they aren't dark though. just right. here's a pick of my whole dash. i did the stereo and hvac also.

You gotta change out the comdons on the LCD for the cd player. It's REALLY easy, I did mine as well! How many condoms did you put on the bulbs? I put two on each, and it's not that bright but it's more red than just the one....
I still can't change the LCD on the gauge cluster... I even tried a super bright LED and that didn't work...
Anxuious to here what ya did though as far as one bulb condom or two :-)
Thanks,
-Nigel
i honestly can't remember if i used only one or two. i want to say just one. i actually put in blue covers for lcd's, which gave them a teal color. i liked the contrast.
