Interior Cleaning
Hey folks,
the other day while i was driving home, I spilled some ceviche juice on my front passenger seat. the spill wasn't huge (maybe the size of a dollar bill all together), but the spill on the seat has caused an odor to linger in the cabin. i tried to soak up the spill with a cloth and then tried to clean the seat with a "sudless cleaner", but the smell is still there. anybody have any idea what else I can try to do? thanks! |
My GF spilled a 40oz iced coffee in my car, I had no rags or anything so until I cleaned it (which was too late) it sat there between my seats, shift boot, and floor.... What I did was I used a cleaning vac and let the windows down for a few days nights... It worked ready well

I spilled gas and starbucks on my seats and used a mixture of simple green and water and then soak the seats and soak it back up with a shopvac or towels. I found that the towels and putting my weight on them took out more moisture than the shopvac. I washed my seats 3 times in one day to get it out. Let them sit and dry with the windows down or cracked depending on your neighborhood while you wait to wash them again.

I didn't even think to use a vacuum or a simple green!!! DOH!!
I think Ill try using a mixture of simple green and water and vacuum it up after it has soaked for a while. With the mixture, should i just dab the seat with the mixture or should i really soak the seat with a cloth or a sponge, let it sit for a few minutes and then soak it back up with a towel or vacuum? Thanks for the suggestions! |
My girlfriend and I where on a drive over the weekend and she yelled "oh isht!"
I asked what and she said she spilled a cup of coffee. I asked if she got any on my seats and she did not say anything so I asked again. She yelled at me "NO I DID NOT GET ANY COFFEE ON YOUR EFFING SEATS!" It all went in her lap, spose my first question should have been are you ok or something. |

LOL!
Gotta protect dem seats!!! |
I soaked them and used just my hand to swirl it around and applied pressure to get it deep into the seat without using a towel so it didnt get soaked up yet, then let it sit for a few minutes and dry it

OR... pull the seat out of the car, take the cover off the seat and clean it. I put my bugeye seat covers in the washing machine just like I do with my sparco seat cover.
It only takes 4 bolts and about 20 minutes of effort. |
