Best way to debadge the "WRX" rear emblem . . .
 

I was wonedring whats the best way to take off the WRX emblem on the trunk without messing up the paint or leave scratches .

the most common method would be with some fishing line or floss, and a heatgun or a hairdryer. You heat up the badge to get the adhesive tacky, then you just kinda floss the badges off.

Afterwards use something like goof-off and rub the rest of the adhesive off. Alternatively you can kinda roll it off with your thumb. Afterwards just hit it with some wax, or if you're kinda lazy like me and don't want to bother with the tiny little bits remaining, bust out some scratch remover or polish and rub it until its crystal clear.

the floss way is a good idea but i too agree with the use of goo gone it works without any paint damage. careful taking the letters off they like to scratch your paint

using fishing string.. and glue gone or whatever that remove those sticky glue..
just remember to clean it off with water after..

the key is to use a heat gun or a hair dryer (perferred method) cause some times the heat from a gun can mess up the paint if you're not too careful. also to get the goop off, a less harsher way is to use wd40. this combo worked like a charm. good luck though with whatever you try.

Exact same method, but I used Goo Gone 2 (I see no difference, that is the one that I already had though). It may take a little time to get every scrap of the adhesive off, but its worth it....
