Auto shifter to manual shifter

Auto shifter to manual shifter
My WRX is auto (booo but got such a good deal I couldn't it pass it up) and well I completely hate how the auto shifter looks with [P R N D 3 2 1] lightened up running down it and I was wondering if i could make it look like a manual shifter with the boot and all. Would it work and if so, how? Thanks

yes you can put a leather boot over the auto trim.. i have seen it done many times in so many different shows... you just get a boot that will fit and leave enough excess to look legit, then just take your dash apart and stick the bottom of the boot on the inside of the console.. and waaaalaaaa

as for the ****, you can just buy an aftermarket shift **** that has a ball, and one with a hidden button to move the gears... and if the area is the same from the outside ring of the auto trim as the STi/wrx trim then yes, just take a peek at another wrx/sti's trim and compare...
