Parking lights won't turn off!

Just installed an after market head unit and now my parking lights won't freaking turn off.. Help

This happened to me once. Try disconnecting the battery, both positive and negative. Next disconnect the Alternator. Empty an entire jar of decent peanut butter from your pantry or local grocery store on your intercooler, ONLY IF YOU HAVE A TOP MOUNT. Once this is done, start your car. It should start right up. Then proceed to connect battery and alternator. Just don't ask how the car turned over because I, myself, am trying to figure out the same thing. It worked for me!

Oh and your lights will always be off for now on, wether you like it or not.

I called dealer maintenance about this when I first got my car. They told me they get calls about it all the time.
