Painting intercooler!
 

I just got a new intercooler off an 02 wrx for my 06 (my stock 06 intercooler was trashed and the 02 intercooler was in great condition) I was just wondering if it would bring any harm to it by painting it? Would using standard spray paint from home depot bring any harm to it? Has anyone done this before? thanks!

Lots of people do it. I did it in my early years. I put WRX right in the middle of my 04 WRX TMiC. Some people even spray it all black. Use high temp enamel? Don't want small pieces of paint being sucked in your intake mani.

I painted my stock intercooler 60K miles ago with Home Depot regular semi-gloss black paint (Chris- the same paint I painted my rear bumper with), still looks great and there's no chipping. Go for it!

The BBQ paint works really well, too.
