FMIC vs STi TMIC

Hi guys,
My friend offered to trade me his fmic for my sti tmic. Im still running the stock turbo in a 2005 wrx and I've read that a fmic on a stock turbo can actually make it slower because of the increased lag. Has anyone experienced this and would it be a good trade?
Thanks

FMIC is only going to give you benefits with a bigger turbo. The FMIC is undoubtedly worth more. But I would advise you not to trade.

STI tmic holds boost up to 35 psi i believe... its plenty unless you are going big then go with the big FMIC.

You will be moving into LAG CITY! The Td04 is a small turbo that really benefits from the location of the intercooler in relation to the turbo, I like the look of the FMIC but your performance will suffer

There is not a single turbo I would run on an EJ205 that would warrant a FMIC in my eyes. In your case it would only be a performance loss.
