Downpipe install assistance (Bay Area)
 

Hey fellas, any guys who have done a stage 2 install on their own have advice or suggestion before I tackle this myself? I've got access to a legit lift and plan on a invidia up pipe and downpipe install on my blobeye in the next week or two. Just waiting on a gasket! Also, how was the power gains from Stage 1 to Stage II? Ive heard it's night and day... Thanks for the suggestions!

The power will be easily noticeable. Best tip is use a lot of pb blaster. Spray all the bolts and let it soak in. The last thing you want it a broken bolt or stud on your turbo.

My advice is to be careful and take your time. You don't want to strip any bolts or nuts. Be especially careful with the bolts that thread into the aluminum intercooler. They can strip fairly easily, and can be a headache to deal with. Also, wear some eye protection when spraying PB Blaster. I got some in my eye, and that stuff burns!
