Any shops install downpipes around the Bay Area?
Hi all!
I've been calling around muffler shops, and none seem lenient enough to install aftermarket downpipes. I know some out there will do it, but I guess my luck sucks.. Can anyone please direct me to a shop who'll do it? Thanks in advance!! -Chris:sign0085: |
Have you tried calling any of the vendors/performance shops listed on the main forum page?

+1, anyone of the tuning shop on here will do it. |
thanks guys! i actually found a better solution...got in touch with a friend who'll show me the ropes!
p.s. everybody here seems A LOT nicer and less negativity towards newbies such as myself compare to NASIOC. people in this forum are GREAT! its kinda like bashing on a newbie boxer just because he doesnt know how to fight back....that's not koo! |
Yeah, you can save some money doing it yourself

if your guy falls through, im also in sj and ill help you throw it on.

Since ur in SJ, you can go to GST in Hayward or Speed Element in fremont, 10-15 minute drive haha. But DPs are easy enough unless theres a stubborn ass bolt =). GL man

+1 on doing it yourself and +10 on the bolts! I would soak the bolts area on PB Blaster or equivalent the night before to make the DP removal easier. You do not want to snap a bolt especially in the turbo's exhaust housing flange, than you definitely will need a visit to a shop :ohwell: |

because they work on cars that should be used for "off road" only. :thumb: ..but i would still do it myself. i'm sure someone on i-club can help you out for a 6 pack of beers or something. haha |
i can think of about 5 shops in 30 miles from my house lol

I will definitely throw in a 6-pack or so if anyone can show me, then Im good. I tend to tread on a safer side by watching someone else do it, as suppose to reading about it then do it myself! @norcalbmxer4u - Im sure my boy will fall through... Worse case scenario, I might have to bug you along with a 6-pack! hhaha thanks for the offer, man!:thumb: |
