Why you hating on the SVT. They are cool cars and if I still had my WRX i'd consider trading it for the SVT + $6-7k.

BTW, highschool is about 20 years in my past and I appreciate all performance cars and if you've never driven an SVT Focus, it will surprise you. GL on the sale Frenchy.

I am originaly from Quebec canada, lived in Whistler for a few year, lived in montreal, lived in boston, lived in toronto and now hawaii. My wife is american, im canadian going for my green card, im now here on a work visa working on a next gen video game as I am a senior 3d artist.

Last game I made was Battlefield 2 and the extra's.


I would love to go and have a friendly race at next auto-x, just dont know much about the scene here yet as I moved permanently here 4 months ago only.

Amazing how fast this thread turned ugly. It was essentially sound advice that came from 91sleeper, although lacking a measure of tact and delicacy in wording. Monsieur Frenchy should not take it the wrong way; HIIC is one of the saner forums on the Net ;-) .

like i said it wasn't to be dicks, i was just letting you know. canada rocks and battlefield 2 for xbox is super sweet (eventhough you can't change the controller layout). GL with the sale and post it on forumshawaii.net. you'll get better results. btw auto-x is the 15th.

so due to no buyer interrest, I deceided to just finish paying the car then buy a STI in a year once im done.

I will just setup the SVT for track and autocross.

Already ordered KW coilovers, KDW tires

and ordering next week clutch, lighten flywheel and Quafie diff.

After this is done, I shall concentrate on the boost.... (evilgrin)

just curious, if you want to sell this "thing" why are you going to put more $$ into it? i mean sell the damn piece and buy a good platform to start with, don't try to turn **** into gold. in either case, you bumped it up so expect the flameage to continue. see you at the next auto-x.

 

Frenchy you should've waited a bit longer before deciding to keep her. You could've thrown the mod money towards payments or use it as seed money for your Suby.

I for one like the SVT...but I did get a chuckle out of the whole car # 2462 (or whatever it was) thing. Didn't know they would bother numbering it. I can talk crap about it as I had a Focus and it was an absolute piece of garbage. The only thing it had going for it was a good chassis. I had to go into service 3 times for the same part failing (the ignition swith...where you put your key to start the engine...it wouldn't turn). After the 3rd time it failed (in Kalihi up on the hill) I decided that I would never buy a ford again unless it was a Mustang or other sports car (and even then only as a 2nd car).

Now don't get me wrong I still like the SVT I'm just not so thrilled about driving a car that will break every couple of months. I also had a Taurus in HS that broke down (tranny of course) at the intersection of University and King...AT RUSH HOUR...I looked like a tool.
