Ok so I found out that my sti has a water meth kit installed last weekend and I was wondering if anyone kniws how to set it up and where to get methanol.

 

You are going to need a tune to get the must out of the meth injection. I buy my methanol from Walmart or Checkers its called Heet its blue and yellow bottle. Not the red and yellow one. I do a 60/40 mix with distilled water. Setting up your meth injection can be done by your tuner. I also believe that Ron's Performance sales methanol once in while but only in 5 gallon drums.

 

all the major meth injection companies like snow performance sell premixed stuff. you should probably first determine what meth kit you have and then go from there to research how its programmed and what it all entails. until then you're just taking shots in the dark. best of luck.

I've recently gotten lazy and found that Lowes sells 1 gallon denatured (Crown) alcohol for 16 bucks. The msds shows 50% methanol and 50% ethanol. It's not cheaper or better, but since I have a 2 gallon tank, I just find it easier to do the ratios. Shop Crown Crown Gallon Denatured Alcohol at Lowes.com
The SLX brand is mostly ethanol.

Pure methanol has better cooling etc.. but I've found that I'm more likely to do the ratios correctly working with the 1 gallon tank, and they always have it in stock. I'd wager that, with 50% methanol, it won't throw the tune off too much. If anything, it'll make you go richer by a few tenths because of the alcohol, nothing that you can't get Jarrad or some other tuner to bring down a tad if you send a log. Just FYI

Along w/ a good tune. Make sure your fail safes are working correctly after install.
