What would you think of someone who broke their hip and leg without shedding a tear when their horse fell on them?
What would you think of the same person one week later "crutchin' it" 6 miles through the mountains on a dirt trail?
What would you think of someone who pulled 4 of her own teeth out with pliers when SHE was a child to get some money from the tooth fairy? WithOUT crying?

My wife, Kate, did all those things.

Why? Because she's a tough cookie, that's why. She's not some fairy little girly pantywaste.
She doesn't grow her nails, sh*t they're cut shorter than mine.
She likes football more than I do.
She owns three dresses. I've seen her wear two.

As we all know. She's pregnant. And she's miserable. She's been having SEVERE contractions for the last three days now. So bad that she's not sleeping. Three nights now, I've had to lay here and listen to her moan and cry, yes cry, because she's in so much pain. The baby's not in there straight-posterior or some stupid f*cking term for it. Yesterday her contractions were 4-7mins apart. So we went to the hospital (Cripler) as directed by her so called "doctor". They plugged her into some machines, checked her cervix, and sent us home. They gave her Tylenol3. If you don't know what that is, Tylenol3 is a narcotic. It has Acetominophen and Codein (or maybe it was oxycodone). Regardless, they wanted to give a pregnant girl, who can't take Aleve or Motrin, a f*cking narcotic. Does this make any sense? What the f*ck is wrong with those people?

I'll tell you what.

It's not "cost effective" to induce labor or to do C-sections. They rather spend the ****ing money on making my baby retarded, then make my wife squeeze out a three week overdue baby who'll probably get stuck, tear Kate, and **** everything up because she'll be so big by then.

I ask again, WHAT THE F*CK IS WRONG WITH THOSE PEOPLE?

Can you imagine what it feels like to listen to the love of your life crying and moaning thoughout the night because the health coverage that I AM SUPPOSED TO BE SUPPLYING her with is WAY BELOW PAR? I can't do anything. Not a SINGLE ****ING THING. I am completely helpless and it is the SH*TIEST feeling in the world. I'm ready to start beating people. No sh*t.

 

Cheer up Dom, good things come to people who wait.

 

Just wanted to add that she didn't take the Tylenol3. While tripler might not care about our baby, WE DO.

 

I'd bet that she can take all the crap they give her and then some. Women are tough like that. It just sucks to see someone you love have to go through all of that.

If it would make you feel any better, I could give my friend, Doc Robert Nelson, a call and ask him to check into it. I believe he's either an obstetrician or a pediatrician. He's our Brigade Surgeon. The guy is no joke. With all you hear about the cut-rate medical care the military gets, I can assure you he's tops. He worked his way up; from Private to Lieutenant (0-1) physician's assistant, to Major (0-4) surgeon.

I owe everything for giving me advice for getting Kathy pregnant.

 

That part's easy. Tab A (***** not gun) into Slot B (vagina not ear). I understand how the army guys can get brainwashed into goofing that one up.

man that utterly sucks! i guess for some people money talks =/ I would look into malpractice suit after this. I need to talk to my mother about this but giving your wife a narcotic is proably a big no no. I could be wrong but thats why I will as my mom who use to run labor and delivery in a Army Hospital. Good Luck man and tell your wife to hold on everything will be alright. And we are all pulling for her.

I could write you a book on the BS we had to deal with back in WA when my son was being born. Going to the hospital three - four times a week so she could be monitored, induced labor 5 weeks early wife had something that was giving her high blood pressure. He stayed in ICU for 10 days hey loaded him up on drugs came home for a week and back he went. He went to the Peds floor started having seizures told my wife it was starlting reflexes I told her she was a F---king idiot. So back to the ICU loaded him up again on meds two spinal taps he is almost three now and the tops of his hands are scared up from IV's. And now that they are finding out that the Vacines they give is causeing Autism in children mostly boys and guess what my boy is Autistic and they caused it but because it only affects a small amout they will keep giving the shots except my kid is not getting any more. The point to all this is don't let them do anything that to you does not seem right that is your right. And second opinions are the only way to go. I edited my post as not to offend anybody I should have not said what I said about Military Docs I have just had some bad experiences with them. After arguring with them for two years about my son we finally convienced one to send our son to a specialists thats all. so sorry if I offended anybody We have had some good Docs though but she had to go and PCS on us..

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR FACTS?

The doctors that are in the military come or are recruited from the same places the civilian doctors come from MEDICAL SCHOOL. Most of the doctors that come in the military, do it to.....

1) Pay off $200,000 or more in school loans

2) Use it to gain experience without having to pay costly malpractice insurance. (which for most they can't afford because of the school loans)

3) To serve their Country

4) So they don't have to buy a BMW and rent out an $100,000 office space. (which for most they can't afford because of the school loans. Also who is going to go to a doctor that drives a Pinto and has an office in the getto)


How is saying "You know the military hires the docs that could not get a job anywhere else." going to help Dom and his wife feel better?

Dom I sorry about what's going on. But we are not doctors, it's hard for us to tell whats right or wrong.
You just have to trust that they are making the right/ sound medical judgments. This is the 1st time you guys are having a baby. The doctors see this all the time.

Keep your chin up. My wife and I have been going through hassles with the doctors here forever. She is only 5months along, but they had us do all these damn tests that worried us and now we went and got an amnio just to make sure things were ok. I dont know what their motivation is, but its not patient care most of the time.

You will have a 110% healthy baby and can forget about those idiots.
