I'm using Extra S seems to work well in all conditions. Cold mornings, hot afternoons. Shift feel seems to stay consistent.
I've tried Redline, smooth when warmed up but a bit stiff and notchy when cold. Motul, had similar issues as well a bit less tho since I added a little friction modifier to help the syncros. |
Well I just placed my order today for 2 5gal drums! so if any one wants some lmk.... it will take 4-6 weeks to come in
^^I want some
i know you do lol
Me!
If this will work well in my 05 STi, I'm in as well! Is this for transmission and/or diffs? How much will I need?
The gear oil is for the transmission front diff included.
I used Subaru LSD oil for the rear diff. |
u can still use this in the rear diff.....
Yes you can they are both 90w oils, but the STi's will want to use the LSD oil since it has friction modifiers to help the clutch type diff. The wrx and other models with the viscous rear diff doesn't matter because the LSD units in those are sealed.
