Still waiting on my core charge refund.
Well ladies and gents, cobb has done it again.
They were great with the fast shipment of my parts... but really damn slow to get my core charge back to me. 400 bucks isn't something I have just laying around. I returned the cams on the 11 (or maybe 13th). Either way, I haven't received my core refund yet and it's killing me. I need to buy groceries, make a car payment and stuff like that. I really wish they could expedite this to sometime THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, do I have bad luck or what?
[sarcastic tone] Is there a sign on my forehead that says "Hey, SCREW ME!"
If so... why are the vendors the only ones who can see it? I know the girls can't!
I'm about to start hating again. [/sarcastic tone]
GGGGGGGGGGRR
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
at least my car runs good... bent cam and all.
edited for tone so non-HIIC members don't get the wrong idea

We received the cores on the Friday the 13th and they were processed on Monday the 16th (inspected for usability to determine if a refund would be given). You called on the 18th to check up on the progress of the refund, and again later that day to have the credit applied towards other products. The order with the credit was processed on the 19th which is the next day. After that it is your credit card company’s responsibility to process the refund, which from my experience is usually at least 3 business days. They are a lot faster to take your money than they are to give it back.
We cannot control some factors like the credit card company’s delays and non-business days.
How was the cam bent? All cams are checked for trueness and proper bearing surface before the hard-welding and re-profiling is done, so I want to go on record as saying that the cams left here true.

OH no, the cam wasn't bent by you guys. The cams came in great shape. It was the timing belt tensioner breaking that did the bending. That was FAR from your fault. If it sounded any way
other than that, I'm sorry.
However, Friday the 13th? I sent them priority a week prior to that... hmmm... wierd. Well if that's the case (3day taking a week) then I'll cut you guys a little slack.

One last thing, when I say hating, that's kind of an inside joke with us Hawaii I-clubbers about my temper (just ask integlspower and ninos) so don't get me wrong. If I had known that the COBB guys were doing searches (or however you read this) I would have worded things a little different.

Busted,
I'm with you Dom. I was venting on here months ago about the UTEC taking so long to get here. 'Lo and behold, Nathan from TXS came on here to let me know that God is watching me
Waiting for parts for this car is one of the hardest things I've had to do. It kills me.

Well since I know big brothers Josh and Trey (of COBB) are watching....
I received my tranny mount and shifter bushings today. Thanks guys for getting it here before christmas.
I didn't realize it before, but...... THAT THING IS HUGE. It is waaaaaay bigger and beefier than the stock mount. I'm sure that'll help get rid of my tranny thump.

Yes Ed, They will help. I know I'm not Josh, but the Cobb's and I (and Tom at Ludespeed) said they do help (about 30HP at least)
Ludespeed Stage III with Borla headers and Cobb cams @ 10psi boost is running 13.0 in the quarter.

clearance problem
Im having some minor clearance problem with the up pipe and fuel
press regulator as you can see in the picture- fuel press regulator is dead on the turbos inlet. More oem WRX parts are on the way
for better component clearance.
Dom, thanks for the info. 30hp!! wow thats sweet- well, i just want this set up to work as planned no killer power is expected.
Now you know why I wanted to turbo the dohc inthe first place.
