Is this the same test driver that crashed the WRX?

Maybe she found herself all the way in Tennessee at Wallace Mitsubishi?

The rumor is that a youth was asking to "test drive" the floor model (just turn on the motor, hear the exhaust, feel the trans. go into gear, etc.)...

Apparently that wasn't enough and the youth in question (who is being held by the Bristol TN P.D.) somehow (either intentionally or accidentally) dumped the clutch at/or near redline...

The resulting carnage is pictured here for your viewing pleasure:

I bet the local Mitsu dealer would fix the car and sell it without telling the consumer. :D

Why do so many EVO's crash? Even before their sold.

Oh btw, those of you planning to purchase a new EVO from Mitsubishi Hawaii. DON'T BUY WHITE! White one was crashed by someone that works in the dealership. I don't think they're going to tell consumers that tid bit of info.

Evo's crash because most people aren't used to a pinpoint steering system ratio and that much power. You put those two combined and you'll get alot of crashed Evo's.

ZIZZIZ 09-26-2003 04:45 PM

i would be happy to take that car off their hands free of charge.....

I believe that is a felony. As high vis as those cars are, and as small as this community is, I'd hope that a friend of the buyer fills him in. If it were me (and you never know.;)), I'd talk them so far down in price that THEY'd have to get financing to sell me that car.

:D

Maybe they have to disclose the info but they always can say it was in a minor fender bender.

I asked the body shop that was fixing it. It was up to Mitsubishi according to them. It didn't sound reassuring.

This coming from a dealer that marks up the car 10K over the MSRP? Yeah, I'd trust them...yeah right.
