The interior entertainment stack has gone back one generation.

Notice the hazard switch

Now that I look at it more, the hatch looks like the 3rd gen ford focus.

is it 2002 again? not sure how many people here even remember the backlash of the bugeye and yet that's what put subaru on the map.. you all know you didn't buy these cars because of their looks.

Doesn't the japan impreza have 2.0 engines anyway?

shaggadelic 04-21-2011 12:24 PM

Yes they do and from what I understand is that it's a newer style of the CVT tranny and it is more responsive then the current impreza

OBSI2008 04-21-2011 03:13 PM

Japan Impreza has 1.5 liter also.

This picture shows new model nicer.

I know I'm in the minority here, but after staring at the pics over the past two days (yes, I dont have much of a life), I think these are much better looking than the outgoing model.

Dont take that to mean they are good looking cars because I'm not ready to say that yet, but in all honesty they're not bad either. And they're certainly not boring as I initially thought, once you start to take in all the little design elements. Now a base model Civic or Corolla, THOSE are boring. All that being said though, even with the new interior I'm not sure it's enough to top the new Focus or Elantra in that department.
I thought the hatchback at first was a little fugly, but seeing it without rails I'm starting to retract my opinion there. Now if it were my money, I'd still take the sedan, but I am growing more and more on the hatch.
