Introducing...

What's up guys? Some of you may remember me as the "Only EVO guy on a Subie cruise" or "That EVO guy" at the meets. My old California license plates said "VIETEVO" and it was a black EVO X.

Well I've traded that in and got a 2010 White STi and I'm LOVIN it. I just called up Shaggy one night and told him I wanted an STi, and about 5 weeks later, I got one!

Just wanted to introduce myself to u guys and I'll come out to the next meet, possible w/Shaggy and dem

What were your reasons for going from Evo X to STi? Also, after driving it for a bit now...how do you like it versus the Evo?

I switched over to the STi cuz I wanted something new and to be a part of the suby community. The EVO compared to the STi isn't built as well and feels more flimsy IMO, and the ride is harsher.

The STi IMO is smoother, can be daily driven w/o driving you insane, and doesn't feel cheap. Of course, ppl who have BMWs and Benz will say that the interior of an STi is cheap because it doesn't have any wood trim and/or because it's not a euro brand.

Congrats Chris. Hopefully we'll see you tomorrow whether you run or not. I want to see the updated interior on the 10'. I like the blk w/ red stitch!

The Suby community is very tight-knit. Heck, I stopped to help a 'fellow' Suby owner (Randy) stuck on the road a couple weeks ago even though I don't own one anymore. I wonder if he ever got that fixed...

Yeh I hate the fact that I gotta break in the car first, and I don't do much driving throughout the weeks so it's gonna be a while before I can go back to SCCA. I'm dying to see how the car handles and what suspension mods I need to get ASAP (I know RSB is one of them)

^yes like Diego said, today was fun with all the rain! AWD and FWD I feel had the advantage, especially over the guys running slicks haha. Can't wait to see you back out there, I think next even isn't until July though unless you competed in enough events to do run offs

I don't think I competed in enough, I think I was in like 5 or 6 at the most
