Difference is not just the bigger LCD display which is a big CON if you're looking for battery life. The advantage that the 38 has over the 33 is that of the focus ring. If you're a point and shoot guy, get the 33. If you want the focus ring, get the 38. I don't really see why people want a bigger LCD on their cameras since battery life is a big thing to me.

i'd say get the smaller one. i wouldn't want a big camera next to my head during runs that could get in the way(that is if you mount it inside your car)

I went to Circuit City and took a look at both of them. And the 38 won. I really like the manual focus ring. It will be easier to keep the focus inside the car.
