I AM THE NEW GUY and LOOKING FOR A RIDE
Well, I have been a performance car guy for years, a couple of camaros and a corvette and now I am carless in that sense. I am looking for a WRX. I have a 4 and a half year old and another on the way, so these little hot cars would do me better than a corvette (my first love!) or the camaro (small back seat).
I have always loved the WRX (specifically the STi) and Brent (Island Style) was nice enough to provide me this site and has been giving me info on what to look for and where to go to find the right car for me.
So, if you see a big funny looking white guy waving at you out of his big red truck or off of his bicycle it is just me.
If you know of any good deals out there, let me know. I really do not want to spend over $15K.
I am a Navy guy and stationed on Pearl Harbor.

Hey Micah,
I recommend going to the next meet on Friday...lots of nice people and they will answer all the questions you may have. It's also a good place to view all of the cars on sale, just send people a personal message (PM) and ask to meet up...
Good luck in your hunt...thats the fun part...several nice vehicles for sale recently...maybe you can coax Joey into coming out...

dunno about 15K for an STi.
but you can get a WRX for cheaper (10K-ish) and throw on an STi turbo, higher flow fuel pump, injectors, and a re-tune for sub-15K total and still have more than STi power.
you'll still have enough to treat your kids to two recaro baby seats!!

Thanks guys. I was seriously thinking about coming out. I am opening my options up to the WRX too. Not just the STi.
BRENT, why not just sell me yours for $15K.

j/kAlright, your WRX might have more HP in the end, but when it comes to Torque, STi's are the way to go. Plus, dont forget about our Brembo brakes, 6 speed trans, DCCD Center Diff, Intercooler sprayer, HID's with adjustment switch, and sweet interior yo....
But.....In my old WRX defense. My WRX came with a moon roof, heated seats, and a back seat pass threw. Things I wish my STi came with..

My STI has the back seat pass thru...
and if the OP is willing to spend a little more... I guess I'll throw my hat in here... I'm looking to sell it for 20k... 2006 OBP STI, Stock Turbo, FMIC, CF/body paint matched hood, Wingless/hole-less trunk, Recaro Seats, custom upholstery, RCE Tarmac2 coilovers, and fender mods that enable her to push 18x9's @ +30offset, concave wheels... Was meticulously maintained, up until recently when i just lost interest... It has some minor issues... Title is clear and you can ask most anyone here about what's been done to it... Open Source tuned, and maintained. at one point it held the distinction of being one of the higher power producing / stock turbo'd STI's on the island (on RMS's dynojet). Dyno sheets and other non-sense is available to be viewed and discussed if the OP is really interested.
