HIIC: "Got This In The Mail Today" Thread
Have you seen the modifications done to this? there was a thread debating how much oil/silt was left at the bottom of the pan by the threads potentially creating a 'collar' inside and holding back the heaviest deposits of oil - a few guys took dremel side-cutting bits and cutting notches in the threaded end (just four) to allow for oil draining, without adverse effects to the thread/strength...
may be worth looking into...
just a garage...will post more of the bigger toys when it comes in
tesh...yes ive seen the mods done on the valve....not too concerned about the accumulation of oil silt at the very bottom of the pan...id be more concerned if i never changed the oil which led to oil passages being caked up and blocked up....

Pickup a few things:
-grimmspeed 2x thick gaskets
-grimmspeed 3 port solenoid
And I decided to try something different from the norm of kartboy products. So far the quality looks identical in the bushings but the nice thing is Torque Solutions products were cheaper by 20% roughly.
Torque Solution:
-short shifter
-shifter bushings
-rear bushings
-driveshaft carrier support bearings
All going in tomorrow!

so far the TS parts feel the same as the Kartboy products. The only disappointment was on the short shifter there was a casting imperfection or what looked to be a small bead of weld right next to the hole where the roll pin passes through to hold the reverse lockout cable in place. This made it impossible to put the reverse lockout lever/ring all the down on the shaft. I solved this by filing off that little imperfection.
Other than that the install was the same as any other shifter and bushings. Would I order these parts again? Sure, why not. I saved about roughly 20% compared to the Kartboy products and the functionality is the same.

I went with the less expensive of their three kits. I just did the fronts.
I'm staying 5x100 but am using the 05 front hubs. You can see in the pic that the hub's were turned down and re-drilled to 5x100. also the knucle was plugged and re-drilled for 04 and earlier struts/coils. I looked at doing a full conversion but it's just not worth doing at this point. I would need new wheels suspension and brake rotors from a newer STi.
