help please!
i have a 02 rs and it automatic! ok here my problem when driving my car itshakes alot when giving it gas and the exhaust backfire alot and it also does not catch speed! can anyone help me please!

Car Info: 01 Impreza RSTi, 08 Evo MR, and 13 XV
3 things to check...... I just went through this recently with my RS.
1. Spark plugs and ensure they or gapped to specs
2. Plug wires check to if they are serviceable this includes fitting properly.
3. Coil pack might be possibly going bad.
#2 is what got me. although my wires looked brand new, which they were pretty much. unfortunately they did not fit properly and it was what was causing my misfires..
Good luck

hope everything didnt give you a headache is finding a solution to the problem..GL.
I think i seen you one time in kalihi!!Silver right with the OEM rear lip with center diffuser,wrx wing. and front OEM lip and rims..You sounded like you had ej20/25 in there with the way your exhaust rumbled!!

that sucks.....i skipped #2 at first cause everything looked good visually and went to #3....well long story short I spent 140 for a coil pack that did not solve the problem but hey atleast I got a new coil pack (dont think it was ever changed).
