So my Subaru was acting up with the clutch getting stuck to the floor and not pumping back up, but i had both the master and the slave changed and it is still doing the same thing, does this mean I should just put an entire new clutch on it? Sometimes when i even touch the clutch it just falls on its own to the floor. just looking for a confirm kinda thing so that I do not buy a new clutch for nothing. :boom::boom::noob:

last time this happened to me, my throwout bearing had been shoved past the fingers and not retracting. replace the clutch! im guessing prior to this there was quaky noise from the throwout bearing?

Were you able to pump the clutch out? I can still drive it (very difficultly) by wrapping my toes over the clutch so that when im shifting i can just grip it and pull it out. but its not clean and it catches really low to the floor when it does that haha. But basically new clutch time?

Did you change the master and slave or a shop do it. Sometimes when you don't bleed the system good you get a clutch padal that stays on the floor and you have to pull it back up. If the padal feel like its getting stuck or the padal doesn't flow smooth when you press it then it could be your clutch.

This is what happened to me when I shattered my clutch.

Just a shot in the dark because I didn't google this but maybe the return spring under the hood broke or something crazy

It happens all the time, I had a shop do it but when I called they are going to have me bring it in because they suggested that it may not have been bled out well enough so they are going to do it again I believe. It gets stuck down but I grip it and pump it back out but happens just about everytime I pump the clutch down.

There is an adjustment on the clutch master rod for free play. That may contribute to your problem.

If it is adjusted incorrectly, the clutch can get stuck down to the floor like you are describing - air in the system would only make it much easier for the pedal to get stuck.

IIRC, the clutch pedal has spring / lever system that pulls the clutch master out closer to the top of the travel, and below a certain point, acts toward the clutch master. So essentially if the pedal was adjusted past that point, the spring would constantly be pushing your clutch master; you want to avoid that.

You'll have to loosen the 12mm nut, remove the pin on the fork and adjust from there. Might be worth a try.
