I don't think they'll be able to help you with a reflashed ecu. I think you should talk to the place you got your ecu reflashed at!

Jon im guessing he has an STI, and he got audible det. And the supposed fix for it was to get the stock ECU reflashed.

I dont have an STI so I cant answer you as to how to really get it fixed. AFAIK there is no fix yet...could be wrong though

ECU reflash

I called Schuman and they said to call back in like 6 monthes for the STI ECU reflash I am kind of disappointed that it might take that long and my car also pings although it has only happened once. It didn't happen at all at the track day which I was getting it often so I'm not to worried about it.

In my experience it does it under certain conditions. In general a hard (WOT) redline pull from 2-3K RPM, in 2nd or 3rd gear, uphill will do it. I have gotten it on a flat surface, but not all the time.
I just don't do the above and really don't need too.
Ideally, it'll be easier to wait until Schuman has reflash capability, but you could still open a warrenty call and get it sooner though your car may be down for a while (waiting for you ECU to come back).

I got mine done back in July and it took 3 days to complete (here in WA). I am not sure what the deal is with Schumann since they are not under SOA though. I'd be pretty pissed if I had to wait to get my car reflashed. It sucked not being able to drive the car like I wanted to. You shouldn't have to worry about such things.

Tim's right, it tends to happen under certain situations although I've had it happen when you think it shouldn't. For me I've found it usually happens in the 3.5-5k range in 3rd or 4th, while moving from a constant speed to rapid WOT (like getting on the freeway). You would think it would be most common midday, hot weather, uphill.....but not necessarily. I've had it on a cool dry morning downhill!!! But this might make sense if what people say about the ECU tuning is true. Supposedly very aggressive with the timing....pushing and pushing

I've been hoping somewhere here would be the guinea pig
