dual cai intake
1 Attachment(s)
Getting a front lip installed on my RSK B4 soon, got thinking about using the air being sucked through the front lip & came up with this double whammmmie.
So apart from the air in front & where my exsisting snork is at the mo the theory is more cold air more power. |
that looks so ghetto! :p. but hey if it works... it works!

except your gonna bottleneck so it really won't help you any.
|
You don't need that much air, so I'd stick with stock.
|
the getto looking intake
was installed in a GTB WAGON today & the car drove alot stronger & gained alittle more on the primary & secondary turbos......
|
interesting. have you tried plugging up one side to see if it makes a diff? just wondering since no matter how may you have they all still go to that one hose. since it can only flow so much air at a time there comes a point where it gets useless. just a thought. GJ anyway

testing
Did a test with a powerful fan, we made up a shield so we could only send air through to the front of the intake... covered one intake felt good then had air rushing through both intakes & the results felt stong .
We did a test on a subbie today with his original snork then we changed to the double intake & there were good gains on the primary & secondary turbos & again hardly noticing any lag between the change overs. |
nice. maybe i should look into making one. no, i'm too lazy. ')
|
i would pay to see a dyno test for that
|
One day he'll get it on the dyno, last readind with his single snork he got 184 k watts he only wanted an extra 7 but got 19 k/watts instead, we had put in the snork and 3 bellmouths.
Easy to make we use plumbing down pipe, some people use that flexi corragated tubing but that would give a turbalent sucking affect when air passing through the tube. |
