Deja Vu????

Anyone have/know of any links on Deja Vu? And I don't mean the strip club. I just want to learn a little bit about it. I did a few internet searchs and couldn't really find anything.

Thanks

Ok, youre scaring me. You been getting too close to those drug users while you been babysitting them? You know some of that crap can be transferred by contact...

I get it all the time too. Especially when say I'm doing something out of the workplace. It is very weird. You will instantly get a feeling you already seen/done something before you do something but you won't really fully realize or remember when you last did it. Then you start thinking about it and you forget about it. I don't recall doing anything systematically that brings up the deja vu feeling. It happens when I do something thats spontaneous, not in order or routine.

Wow, that must have made you feel like it just happened again! :P

Yup... Sometimes I'll have a weird "feeling" like I've been somewhere/done something before... I'll always stop, take inventory and during that short period of time I figure out that I've had a dream about it - and not actually done it. And it doesn't always have to be recently, I could have "dreamt" of it when I was a kid and it all comes flooding back to me...

Weird, eh?

From what I've read, it has something to do with a brain-short in the short-term memory. Somehow abruptly transfers something you just saw into the long-term... but that doesn't satisfy me when I, too, start seeing things I know I dreamed about 10+ years ago. It's been awhile since it last happened, though. Interesting.

you ever have a sort of deja vu where you know something is about to happen and you know what to do in order to prevent what's going to happen? Or just know the "correct" thing to do? ... Or is that not deja vu?

The same thing would happen to my ex-wife. She used to freak me out all the time with it.

couldn't tell you. It was a while back on one of the computer (the other geek site I go to) forums. Used to be called MadOnion, and is now called Futuremark... but that was more than a year ago, I think. I'll look/ask around.
