Coilover question for 06 sti

i just recently installed my ksport kontrol pros on my sti. i dropped about 2 - 2 1/2 in. in the fronts. i cant go any lower, the bottom of my coil will rub against my CV boot. has anyone ran into these probs before? not saying i wanna go lower (maybe) but im just curious.

idk if its because i made the preload to high (tight) but thats the way ive always been setting my preload on all my coils on my cars. - hand tight then two and a half turns. if that sounds wrong plz correct me.

If you want to go lower you have to drop the preload, the spring will be loose and it will compress when you lower the car from the jack. That, or get different coilovers such as BC extreme low kit. It has a shorter shock cartridge so it wont hit the cv boot. Good luck.

Pretty much maxed. Nothing left to do. Unless you rock ghetto and cut a coil. Don't recommend that. My ksport a get me low enough. Any lower get those bc or some stance

if you've threaded the tube as far down as you can into the bottom collar then yes you will need to get rid of some preload to go any lower. i'm sure you know what happens when you have too little preload so i won't explain it. i find it hard to believe just by looking at those coils that with only 2.5 turns on the top collar after being hand tight you are maxing out the bottom. can you post a pic of how your car sits? i would think that after that you'd be damn near on the ground.

i dont like how the front sits a little higher. just want atleast a half inch more drop for the front to make it even.

If you don't like how it's not even just raise the back. Other than that it looks good. Like what I said, if you want the front to go lower, take out a perch. It should do the trick. If it has 3 perches then I would take out 1. If it has 2 then I wouldn't take out a perch. Scary running only 1 perch. Just raise the back.

i know that trick. but thats not the problem. i have plenty of room left between the collars to go atleast 3 more inches down, the problem is the shock body will touch the CV boot if i go down another 1/16th of an inch lol.

hate to say it but all subarus sit higher in the front than they do in the back. so if you want to be level then you should leave it.

yes i know they sit higher. alot of cars do.
but for my personal taste id like it to be even or the front a lil lower. i know i can raise the back but i like the way the rears sit atm lol. i just wanted to know if there was a certain way to slam an sti or if this is common with other coilovers or if it was just the ksports that i have that are limiting me from getting the drop i want.
