Question Battery Tender question

anyone here use this ?...i was looking into picking up one before i deploy for a few months since i wont have anyone to start up the car...


any reccomendations ?..any places locally i should start checking..thanks

best thing to do is to disconnect the battery since you will have nobody starting the car. Then store the battery in some sort of cool dry area off the ground to prevent discharge. Now depending on the age of the battery all you should need is a quick charge or jump.

As for the battery tender I am guessing that is some sort of solar powered charger? We use to use these solar powered trickle chargers in the military but have gotten away from them in recent years. I personally thought they were junk.

the battery tenders have gotten a lot more high tech/computerized than what were used to back in the day...

i would suggest getting one if your getting deployed mainly to save the battery.

thanks guys..i actually picked one up today at checkers..35 bucks...they have gotten more high tech then back in the day..shoots
