2 Questions For Coilovers
Question #1, I'm just about to drop the money on new coilovers and would like to get everyone's opinion on them. I would like to know what coilover is the best for my vehicle. Just for some background, I am looking at D2 Racing Coilovers.
Question #2, is there any place in town that can align my car with the new coilovers the CORRECT way with out any wear and tear on the new tires. It seems that no one likes to deal with the hassle of coilovers. I have a 2011 WRX Sedan. Thanks everyone!!!! Jay |
You're looking at spending double what those D2s cost if you want anything worth more than their weight in dirt. D2s are garbage.
You're looking at between $200 and $300 for alignment and corner balancing. You're going to have to go to a performance shop to have this done. What type of racing are you doing? |
I would like to do track time but no dirt.

Those are the least expensive starter coilovers I'd recommend. Being starter coilovers they don't have adjustable damping unfortunately. Coilovers with that feature jump in price tremendously. These also don't come with top hats/camber plates, so you will need to look into those as well depending on which you chose you want to go with. |
I do want the coilovers to come with the top hats/camber plates.

The 1st one offers more adjustability, but the latter will have less NVH (noise/vibration/harshness). |
What is the price you are willing to spend jejay.

I would like to spend about a grand but for quality I will spend the extra 500 bucks.
|
for a grand.. umm go with some ISC's then. i hear they are like $95 for rebuild.
alignment: radial tires 2500 Cottage Way Sacramento, CA 95825 But with a few hundred dollars more..i'd go with Brfatal route. Your car, your investment. |
