2000 Forester Knock Sensor Part # and install???

Hey guys, trying to replace a knock sensor on my boss' Forester. Subaru wants like $300 to do it, but I think I can get the part for about $60 and do it myself. I've done the same on my 96 L but not sure how much difference the 2.5 engine is. Please let me know if anyone can help me out with a part number and installation.
Thanks,
Cody

I would have to hazard a guess that the part number is:

22060AA070

or

22060AA100

It depends on a VIN break in the year. If you'd like to PM me the last eight digits of your VIN number, and can wait until Monday, I'll be happy to tell you.

Is it the front (a/f sensor) or the rear (oxygen sensor) which is out of commission??

Thanks, but I'm pretty sure I've already got the right part number from over on nasioc. What are you talking about front or the rear which is out of commission, it's neither of those, it's the knock sensor

Thanks...duh!!

Yes, the part numbers posted are the knock sensors for those model years, not the oxygen sensors...

Thinking one, part numbers for one, writing the other...

blame the beer.

There is an overlap, which is why I'd like to get the last eight numbers of the VIN (by PM), and then I can get you the ONE RIGHT NUMBER!!
