i think cobb tuning makes for your year. i just got them put on. i have a 2002 rs

How did u like the cobb cams? I've been seriosuly considering an all cobb set up, with intake, exaust, headers, and cams. I already got the intake and have the exaust on order. Just curious about how much install was and how much you think they we'll cause problems as in matinence issues....

The Cobb cams won't cause maintenance issues provided they are properly installed, but they won't pass emissions testing.

Lavery 08-12-2003 06:54 PM

so they won't shorten engine life at all?

Red Devil 08-22-2003 12:20 AM

Curious..

I was wondering just how bad you will flop your emissions testing if you have the cobb cams? Anybody tried? I've been thinking about them, and I dont have to be tested where I live, but if I move, I'd like the car to be able to pass.. course I'm also throwing on a high flow cat.. :D Thats because I'm SUPER smart...

Well I WAS going to search nasioc for some threads about this, but as usual the search function is disabled because Nick is a greedy bastard and won't buy a better server and more bandwidth.
Anyways, try searching for 'cobb emissions' or 'cobb smog' in the NA forum over there and see what you come up with. Make sure to set the date for the search to go all the way back.

www.Japanese-auto.com (aka Yoshio) sells slightly more aggressive cams than cobb's.

http://www.techworkseng.com offers alot of Cobb-like products like blocks and cams.

Camgears? 2000 is a SOHC engine... why?

I wonder if the numbers reflect the "search function" traffic.

No. They reflect the relative age of the sites. I-club.com is now 9 months old, and nasioc is what, 48 months old?
