Timing adjustment?
 

is there anyway to adjust the timing of the RS other than taking off the timing belt and redoing it? basically i took off my timing belt and put it back on which just sucked and then i think that im off by a tooth or so because im 5 degrees retarded.

how long ago did you do the timeing belt.. I know the timing marks on mine were still visible after a months use.. I cant think of any other way to retime it.

about a month or a little less than. i was just hoping that there was some wierd thing that i don't know about.

I'm going to be replaceing my timing belt soon. How hard of a job is it? It looks easy but what are your impressions?

it wasn't to bad at all. just take out the radiator and the rest is self explanitory.

yep that helps out so much!!
the only words of warning i have are
#1 make sure you compress your hydrolic belt tensioner and put a pin thru it before you remove it.
#2 make sure you line up the streight (non arrowed) marks on the pullies with the marks on the new timing belt
#3 once you have the belt and tensioner on put the bolt back into the crank and turn it over by hand and make sure your timing is correct before you try to start it.. If the timing is off your valvs will hit the pistons!! (I know this because i did it :( )
#4 make note of the roation of your engine before you take every thing appart.. timing belts are directional and need to be put on in the correct rotation.
