would the 93-up stromung ual tip catback fit on my 07 2.5i?
|
I dont think so... I could be wrong but I think they changed on the 06, and you would have to get it modded at a muffler shop.
|
they have a 2.5i specific midpipe and axelback which basically is a cat back, sold seperately and for more.
|
just dont feel like spending extra money
|
I dunno... I actually am looking for a midpipe right now.
I saw they have a spt one for cheaper than the stromung on on subaruparts.com but has anyone even used it? |
if an 06 axel back will fit on my 96, then a 93+ will fit an 06
|
i know th axleback will , but will the cat back?
|
seriously i keep seeing these thread and i heaviely suggest going down to your local muffler shop and asking what they can do for you. I had my complete exhaust done from the headers back and it cost me under 200 canadian for mandrel bent 2.5 inch SS all installed an sexy as a mofo :).

ok, I one time posted this question in a new thread but never got a response.....
I know that on the wrx and whatnot we call a full exhaust a turbo-back.....so whats the n/a version of a turbo-back? headerback? |
probably, headerback, deleting the cats, or adding a race cat

Whether or not there's a hi-flow or "race" cat (whatever that is, race cars don't usually have cats) is immaterial. |

I'm wondering what the term for that is though |

Not sure if there really is a term for it. Turbo-back makes sense on a turbo car because there's a turbo, and the exhaust bolts to it. There isn't anything like that on a N/A car so I would call it "an exhaust system." Although since "turbo-back" does not include the turbo, maybe "header-back" would not include the header. So maybe there's your term. Then again, maybe not. :D |
I believe it is commonly referred to as a "header-back".
Now to bump a previous question of mine... anyone know the piping diameter of the stock exhaust on a STi? |
Header-back generally implies a header is included. Cars don't come from the factory with headers, they come with manifolds.
Maybe it's manifold-back. :) Sorry - no idea of the stock pipe diamter. |
