Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

CEL Boss? Is it legit?

CEL Boss? Is it legit?

So this is on subaruparts.com. Its called the CEL boss and it "CEL boss...Check Engine Light spacer. Slows or eliminates CEL occurance from higher flow exhaust systems by threadin this into the 02bung. Thus taking the sensor out of the direct path of exhaust."
The link is http://www.subaruparts.com/catalog/?section=1108. Is this ligit? They run for about $16 a piece. I'm just wondering if they actually do what they say or if the CEL will still come up. Thanks for the input

legit only if you have a catless downpipe without a tune to have it cleared. speedelement sells the same thing. its a mechanical o2 sensor adapter/spacer fix to keep the o2 sensor out of the piping and prevent it from throw a po420 code being low cat efficiency.

I'm running Helix Up pipe and downpipe and 3 " HKS Hi Power exhaust system. I don't get check engine light! lucky me then huh?

The mechanical fix is okay, my friend has one in his STi. Once in while CEL pops up other than that he says it works good.

Well it wouldn't go on a dp because I have n/a set up. Just on the normal 2.25" hfc. And midpipe.
