Does anyone have the Apexi gt-spec exhaust for the Subaru WRX turbo? If so, what's your opinion about that exhaust?

What exhaust is the best exhaust for the WRX Turbo?

May you guys post some pictures of your exhaust systems?

 

the best exhaust are actually the Apexi' GT Spec and HKS Hiper, However, there are so many hype regarding Vsihnu, Stromung or Turbo XS, or some other exhaust in the Society WRX. I really don't know why. But the actual dyno result comaprison from Turbo Magazine shows that Apexi GT Spec and HKS Hiper. Hks makes little more HP, but GT spec is lighter. So the over all performance on your car will be about the same. However, GT Spec has removable silencer.

Well, even if the Stromung dosent make as much power, it dosent look like a coffee can, and it dosent sound like ***.. Id say an MRT exhaust would be a good deal also..

 

well, first of all you don't see any real WRX race car and rally car use Stromung. Secondly, MRT and Stromung's bulid quality don't even compare. Third, MRT and Stromug is not as light. Four, they don't make as much HP. Fifth, have you ever think why all the top notch exhausts are like "coffee can"? It has to do with flow dynamic. They look like "coffee can" for a reason. At least the GT SPEC and HKS don't use those Ancient Technology like MRT and Stromung. Last, I know many people don't think GT SPEC sounds like ***, especially after 5000 rpm. After 5000 rpm it sounds like JGTC race car.

 

have you ever heard of retaining torque. you have to keep at least a little back pressure.
