What is this?
2 Attachment(s)
I was changing my oil today, and found this connector that looked halfway melted and oozing with whitish gunk. It was connected to the gold prong in the background. I have no clue what the thing in the background is. I decided to plug it back and the car was and has been running normal.
Its located to the right of the steering linkage. Any advice to what it is? 2013 WRX 11k miles Stage 1 TP rev.1 |
Can't get a good look at it, but the gunk is probably conductive grease. Lets the prongs go in easier from the factory (bow chikka bow wow), and insulates/adds weather resistance.

Haha, thanks. Found out its the starter in the background and the connector was full of that grease. Thought it was melted but it should be normal according to you.
I'll leave it for now. Hope its just grease! |
Was about to say it looked like the cable that goes to the negative side of the starter

Yup. But I was wondering why it looked melted but the previous person said it could be conductive grease. |
