Hmmm so this is what happaned... Last night I was on the freeway and I think I was going maybe 120 mph just to break in the engine a LITTLE bit, but at the time I was going 120 or so my car made a beeping noise a couple times and I have NO IDEA what that noise is... does that sound mean the engine is getting to hot or something? And again I was going maybe 100 MPH and I heard that sound beep noise again, it wasnt high pitch or nething but it was noticable... if you know what that sound might be please lemme know.

STIs have a little shift light in the center of the RPM gauge where you can set what RPM you want the light to blink. Once you hit the set RPM it will make a beeping sound. Im pretty sure thats what you are hearing.

 

Where was it comming from? My right side mirror howls like a banchee at about 120.

 

its your shift light beep. Use the left dial to set it at what rpm you want your shift light to go off at. And a beep goes along with it.
