Question STi upgrade Questions...

I was wondering if any of you know what are some options for upgrading the STi turbo.

Right now I have a WRX with a PE1820...will this turbo work good with the Sti 2.5? What would be a godd turbo that would be like the PE1820, but for the Sti 2.5?

Also, what mods could I keep from my WRX, to use with the STi?

Gruppe-s Header w/up-pipe
PE1820 Turbo
Blitz FMIC
Blitz LM Intake
BPM 3" Turbo Back Exhaust
Vishnu Paralell Fuel Rails
PE650cc injectors
Walbro Fuel Pump
SX Rising Rate Fuel Pressure Regulator (Aerospace Grade)
Earls -8AN Fuel Lines and Fittings

Thanks guys, and General info would help

My WRX is pretty much an Sti, minus the 2.5L motor. So I have a bunch of stuff to sell later

-freddie <<< thinking of getting an STi

The 1820 should still be good on the 2.5, like on the 2.0?

thanks

the pe1820 would be better on the 2.5, making more power and less lag. If you go with the pe1825, the twinscroll setup, then you need a new uppipe, turbo, downpipe, maybe headers.

Have you seen Hotrod's great list of turbos and the cfm they are supposed to push at given psi's? That list allows you to compare & contrast pretty well. Also, there are actually 2 lists; one for 2.0 and one for 2.5 with many turbos on both lists.

Keep the PE 1820 and put it on the STi.

I'm going to order an 1820 for my STi next month.

You would need a whole twin-scroll header to use a 1825, also the twin-scroll has a different downpipe. if you really wanted to go this route I would just source a VF36/37(600-700) and send it out to kingpin, they can retro fit it with the PE compressor wheel for 300 which will make it a 1825

and yes, for alot less effort/expense you can just run an 1820, it just wont spool as fast.
