eq tuning.. my 2010 sti made great power with Ed, and he took his time to get it perfect!

EQ TUNING!

...

Did I forget to mention...EQ TUNING?

It may be farther for you than any of the tuners in the Bay Area, but trust us (and many others who will soon chime in) EQ Tuning is great! The crew is fantastic and Ed is daaaaa bommmmmmb! Definitely worth the drive!

Oh, another question...what are you getting protuned? Any mods?

GimmeTQ May 30, 2011 12:05 AM

cobb accessport
aem cai
crawford performance dp
crawford performance axle back

i saw some numbers from some stage 2 08's and 09's and wasn't very impressed by GST. they were damn near the same as the stage 1's. no bueno. what about Fineline Tuning???

GimmeTQ May 30, 2011 12:07 AM

oh yeah and i'm waiting for my DW 1000cc injectors and fuel pump in the mail. i'm going to do an E85 map and i just want to get the best results as possible. not some lame results when i feel like i have a pretty nice setup.

GST, EQ tuning and FineLine Imports are all great shops! When it comes down to numbers they are all going to be similar. GST dyno is a tuff one, I can't say myself but it seems EQ dyno runs higher numbers! My car is tuned at Flineline imports and worked on and they are great! Some tuners will tune more aggressive, some will tune for reliability! I don't think you will go wrong with either shop, just remember that numbers are always going to be different. Different dyno's, weather condition's, that all plays a factor of what numbers are.

eq tuning reads low just like gst's from what dyno sheets i have seen

GimmeTQ May 30, 2011 01:04 AM

i'm starting to lean towards EQ over GST

DarkJuic3b0x May 30, 2011 01:26 AM

I've been to both GST and EQ before. Nothing wrong with Mike @ GST, no doubt. I just preferred Ed over @ EQ. He spends the time tuning your car like it should! He'll spend hours on it, perfecting the map on the tune.

If you can't decide, your best bet would be to call around to different tuner shops that you have in mind and ask them about dynotuning. Why you should go to them over others...and tell them what your goals are.

Goodluck!

Yah WHP, look at the TQ numbers! Once my exhaust cutout is done I will dyno my car on Eds dyno, Ed's dyno does read low, same with GST and FLI's. Like I said you won't go wrong with Ed, he does great work! I know Miles spends alot of time dialing in the tune! I can say he has spent extra time with me perfecting my tune. Ever time I bring the car back he takes care of me!

malibusteve70 May 30, 2011 10:41 PM

Eq ftw

BOHICA Jun 12, 2011 04:08 PM

GST OR FLI, the other one mentioned...not in the same league..JMO

Best post of this thread.
it gets the thumbs up from sigma pi.

Dyna pack
Dyno jet

you want the load bearing dyno like the mustang.

FLI ftw. Have had my car tuned there from stage one to where it sits now with close to 330whp and always a great experience with the Guy's at fine line. Miles is a great tuner and even has been tuning in China and equador recently.
