I have a ams MAF and I upgraded it because of my set up. I have a rotated turbo set up running 512 hp. The reason to upgrade the maf is because when you change your turbo the air that comes in the larger turbo the old small MAF won't read the large amount of air flowing through. So if your car is stock and your on the stock turbo it's pointless to upgrade the maf. You can still do a cold air but you don't need to upgrade the maf. Once you start hitting 400hp you will want to upgrade it. If you don't need to upgrade it don't. Saves you money to spend on other stuff. You should upgrade your fuelling before your maf
