Only hitting 9psi boost?
Hey guys i have owned my car for quite sometime and have always hit around 9psi boost. I never knew nothing of it until now, my target boost is 13.5 psi.
I have already done the soap and water leak test thing, and didn't notice any leaks. Do any of you know why i am not hitting my target boost? Like i said, i bought the car and it was hitting 9 psi. I have a CBE and CAI stage 1 91 octane map (Previous owner installed) Please help:mad: |
Update: i tried resetting the ECU, and the same issue is occurring... Im clueless on whats wrong.

That's about wastegate pressure. What kind of boost controller are you using? Try swapping BCS and see if it still does it.

Everything is stock except cat back excuse and intake. i don't have a spare bcs or a friend with one. is there a way to diagnose it without having a new one on hand already?

Unplug the stock BCS, go romp on it and if nothing changes, your BCS is most likely dead. |

Romp on it? That won't hurt anything? |
Update: I pulled off the bcs and checked it with the battery, it is clicking. I also sprayed some mas airflow cleaner through it. Put it all back on and it is acting the same still.
Any more ideas? I've read a little about restrictor pills? Or something like that. Don't really know what they are our what they do? Anyway. Open to ideas! Thanks |
Update again.. I tried using a different tune. A HWG tune to see if it was the map I was running or something. And it is still reading the exact same psi.. I'm out of ideas😂

I found more help on another forum, but for throes of you with the same problem as me, it turned out to be my boost control solenoid, even though it passed tests it was faulty. I ordered a 3 port Cobb to replace it. Thanks for the help guys!
